I was cross that my group was late to Dead Vlei, getting to the park after sunrise. But, it is such a remarkable place that I need not have worried. It was worrisome when the tour operator failed to return to pick us up at the appointed time and place. We sat without water for quite a while, and it may have been the hottest I have ever been.
