Civil War reenactors in Washington State, one man mounted on his Canadian Warmblood horse in his Union Cavalry uniform and two women standing on the ground in period dresses.

Antebellum

My riding teacher back in the Pacific Northwest also drove the Wells Fargo Stage Coach. He and his team participated in a historic reenactment of a regional mail run. I followed the three day trip and was most excited for a photo op at this historic home where the re-enactors came out in full period attire. Alas, the mail run was moving slowly and rode right on by to make camp by (not quite) sundown. But, I was happy to get this shot right before the cavalryman turned and rode out to guard the coach.
